July 20, 1946

The sweltering sun couldn't be hotter… Being under such heat all the day took a lot of energy. Most of the kids including me had ragged remainings of what used to be the uniform. Our hairs were close to covering our eyes, but that didn't stop us… And it didn't stop Jack either… He and a group of boys started painting their faces for hunting, they kind of freaked me out so I tried to stay as far from them as I could.
